We have all seen this brown (that wishes it was purple) 1976 CJ7 and now we are going to find out what's under the sheet metal. The thing that makes the power is a fresh 258 CI 6 bored .030" over, RV cam, high volume oil pump, headers, Clifford manifold with a Weber Carb and a K&N air filter. The horses are pushed through a T-18 and a 2=:1 Model 20 transfer case built by R&P. This feeds a Dana 30 with a Lock-Right in front and a Dana 44 with a Detroit in the rear. Both axles were built by R&P and use 4.88 gears. The spring are on top and Rancho handles the shocks. The rubber meets the dirt with 35" BFG Mud Terrains. The long list of "goodies" includes; power steering with a brace, a full roll cage, a CB that might reach Eugene, R&P clevis brackets, a Warn 8000I, Currie Bros. on board air system, hi-lift jack, shovel and axe. Time to take a breath... This rig has one of the few spare tires we see on the trails along with, a pair of Warn fog lights,high back bucket seats and some front fenders that have visited Bill Winters for a bobbing.

The foggy crystal ball sees, maybe fuel injection or a 304. This good working machine could be traded for a new TJ with TeraFlex, V8 and lockers.

GOOD NEWS! TR's crystal ball was right. A 304 with Holly fuel injection has been installed in the trudgen machine. It also has a RV cam, 30 over bore, K&N filter and dual flowmasters. Look out trails, here comes TR! No TJ this time around, the CJ7 stays alive!
